Naturals

Sometimes a composer will need to negate a sharp or flat that was used earlier in a measure, or one that occurs in the key signature.  In this case, a natural is used.  Placed immediately before a note, it cancels out any sharp or flat that would otherwise have affected that note.  Like sharps and flats, naturals remain in effect until the end of the measure.
