The Blessing of the Lord vs. the Wealth of the Wicked

To those who trust in the Lord and serve Him with humility, the Scripture says,
"The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and He adds no trouble to it."Proverbs 10:22
But to the unrighteous, The Lord says,
"Your wealth is rotting away, and your fine clothes are moth-eaten rags. Your gold and silver are corroded. The very wealth you were counting on will eat away your flesh like fire. This corroded treasure you have hoarded will testify against you on the day of judgment."James 5:2-3
Which would you prefer?
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
