This tool lets you easily read through the entire bible in one year.  Or, you can tailor your reading plan as best suits you.

If your browser accepts cookies, this page will now remember what date you were viewing on your last visit.  So if you miss a few days, you can pick up where you left off.  The left and right arrows on either side of the date let you easily navigate from one day to the next.

The Old Testament is divided into two parts, excluding Psalms and Proverbs.  Each part can be completed in one year.  The New Testament is also spread out over one year.  Psalms and Proverbs are covered in six months, and then they repeat.  So you can either read them concurrently or consecutively.

Some sample plans are outlined below:

1 year/6 months
Each day, read all sections shown above.  This will take you through the entire bible in one year, and through Psalms and Proverbs twice during that year.
1 year plan
Each day, read both Old Testament sections, and the New Testament.  Read Psalms the first half of the year, and Proverbs the second half of the year.
2 year plan
Read the first Old Testament section in the first year, and the second Old Testament section in the second year.  Read the New Testament both years.  Read Psalms the first half of each year, and Proverbs the second half of each year.
3 year plan
Read the first Old Testament section in the first year, the second Old Testament section in the second year.  In the third year, read the New Testament, together with Psalms during the first half of the year, and Proverbs durnig the second half of that year.
4 year plan
Read the first Old Testament section in the first year, the second Old Testament section in the second year, and read the New Testament in the third year.  In the fourth year read Psalms during the first half of the year, and Proverbs during the second half of the year.

Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
Let them praise His name with dancing
and make music to Him with tambourine and harp.
For the Lord takes delight in His people;
He crowns the humble with salvation.
— Psalm 149:2-4
